Happy New Year !

From my Cottage to yours...

I would like to wish all my faihful readers, who supported me during a tough 2019, a wonderful new year. Thanks to your emails, I know that 2019 wasn't easy for many of you as well.

Je voulais souhaiter à tous mes lecteurs fidèles, qui se sont montrés si attentionnés en cette année 2019 difficile, une merveilleuse année. Par vos mails, je sais que 2019 n'a pas été tendre pour certains d'entre vous aussi.

I will not obey to the tradition of doing a revue of the past year. I'm not forgetting it, it has definitely shaped me... and given me a few new wrinkles !

Je ne vais pas obéir à la tradition de faire un résumé de l'année passée. Je ne l'oublie pas, elle m'a modelée... et donné quelques nouvelles rides !

Now that we are rich from 2019 experiences and lessons, let's step into 2020, wiser and more eager than ever to grab every good thing life has to offer.

Maintenant que nous sommes riches des expériences et des leçons de 2019, entrons dans 2020, plus sages et pleins d'ardeur pour profiter de chaque moment que la vie offre.

Yes, I think that's what I want to wish you a year full of eagerness ! It might not be traditional, but it's what my heart feels like telling you !

Oui, je crois que c'est ce que je veux vous souhaiter, une année pleine d'ardeur ! Ce n'est sûrement pas traditionnel, mais c'est ce que mon cœur ressent !

  29. Hi, Magali...glad your coming out into the light again. Speaking of dark places, 2019 it was a REALLY challenging year for me. I fell on our sidewalk after checkig the mail and scraped my top lip. The inflammation from the healing process caused the cells to become maligant...no kiddind-cancer, on my lip! We have a top cancer hospital here, Moffitt Cancer Center, so I had the best of care. Three skin grafts later, and disfigurement, I'm cancer free. It came back four times traveling through the nerves. Talk about stressful! Then, my sweetheart black Schnauzer, Elle (4 yrs) was diagnosed with gentic periodontal disease. What?! I took her in for a checkup and wanted her teeth professionally cleaned even though I brush them. She had to have 18 teeth removed and one tooth way in back fell out during cleaning! My poor baby! Who knew about genetic peridontal disease-never heard of it before now. I cried off and on for days. She came from two grand champion Schnauzers. Heartbreaking. Just heartbreaking. Yesterday I was meditating on how down I felt and why was this since all this was behind me. So my thoughts turned to going on vacation. What was it about vacation that made me so care-free and happy? Joy. I felt joy on vacation. So I'm trying to do even the smallest of things that help me to experience joy. I figure over time and with prayer I can pull out of this mindset of no joy. So from me to you, I wish you joy this year. And I'll take you up on eagerness, too! I have zero eagerness to clean out the garage before warm weather hits this year...

  30. I've been dealing with my own 2019 issues and had not been to visit so I'm catching up. So sad that you lost all your precious kitties right in a row! How hard it must be to find yourself without them. I did go all the way back to your pretty new bookcase, and I found it turned out lovely. Hope 2020 is the year we all turn our faces towards the sun and regenerate. Nonni mentioned a vacation in her comment above mine here. That does sound so lovely. The heart yearns for some happiness again...hoping someday to find it.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear kitties. Although it's belated, I wish you peace and joy in 2020. The world has become a crazy place, and we all need to find a way to find calming influences. I hope this year is good to you!
