Wandering Around The Cottage - October Edition
Ploumanac'h - from the beach to the chapel
I'm so glad you stopped by today, because I'm taking you to a really beautiful place!
It's located more than an hour North of the Little White House, but it's really worth the drive.
We're going to have a nice walk in Ploumanac'h, from the beach to the Chapelle de La Clarté and back.
First, let's grab a bite in a crêperie located on the harbour. When the waitress brought us the glasses and the bottle of water, I immediately thought of Carol from Art and Sand, so I snapped a picture!
The goat cheese and honey galette was really nice. And here was the view: it was low tide at noon.
Now, let's start the walk with this adorable beach, just off the village. There, right on the beach, is a cute oratory.
Young girls were supposed to try to put a pin in Saint Guirec's nose. The girls whose pin stayed there were supposed to be married before the end of the year. Poor Guirec doesn't have a nose anymore now!
Overlooking the beach is an adorable chapel.
The coast we're going to walk along now is called the "Pink Granite Coast" because the granite there has amazing and unique shades of pink. It's also everywhere, even in the middle of gardens!
On a small island a manor is built, which is called the Château de Costaérès (even for me it's difficult to say!). Fancy living there?
After a steep path, here's the beautiful mill that was recently restored.
From the mill, we're only a few steps away from the Chapelle de la Clarté, where will be begin the next post!
See you at the chapel soon, wait for me if I'm delayed by a hundred papers to mark!
PS: I know it's completely off topic, but I would like to thank all of you who left kind comments on my last project. It meant the world to me to read them every night after work.
I'm taking along with me for the walk in Ploumanac'h, the readers from::

ReplyDeleteWonderful to have you at "Oh, the PLACES I have been!" Just a little note. If you can (and I know life gets in the way of blogging - LOL!) I think you'd get more traffic from linking if you would link to the party earlier. The link goes up on Thursday evenings at 7 pm EST. Can't wait to see where you go next!
