One Year Of ... Wandering Around The Cottage
Last year when I began writing this blog, I knew I wanted to show readers the area I live in and love. As I've gained a few readers over the months, I thought maybe some of you missed some of my "Wandering Around The Cottage" posts, so here's a little recap of the places I've taken you to so far. Feel free to skip the whole post and go straight to the end if you remember them all!

I would like to take the opportunity of this litttle recap to thank all of you who left comments on those posts. It was so nice of you and it encourages me to keep them coming... I have worked for you during my Christmas break and I'll take you to some wonderful places this year again.
I have a very small giveaway for you. If you're beginning to fall in love with Brittany, maybe you'd love to have pictures of it on your desk all year long. Here's your chance to win a little calendar with beautiful images of Brittany cottages and gardens. It's nothing spectacular...But I thought of you when I was buying some for my friends! To enter, just tell me in a comment how you keep track on what's going on at The Little White House On The Seaside. Pictures are crappy because I wanted to post this today, but got home late and it was already dark!
I'll pick up a name at the end of the weekend! Good luck to all of you!
See you soon,
I always enjoy visiting the beautiful places you take us to. I keep up with what's going on with you through my blog roll on my sidebar. Every time you post, it pops up. All my favorites are on my sidebar....it's easier for me that way....:) I hope you enjoy your last days of your break. I return Monday....how about you?
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Vicky

How I loved those Breton calendars when we lived there, and always bought one....or was even given one by our Newsagent as a gift!
ReplyDeleteYou are, of course, on my Google Friends connect list!
So many lovely places there - love your photos!
ReplyDeleteI have your blog bookmarked and click on it daily in hopes of a new post. My husband I visited France in 2002 and loved seeing Paris, taking the train to Switzerland and then coming back into France to go to the Cote d'Or and Alsace Lorraine regions. I enjoy not only your cottage blogs but also your travel blogs. Sally from Arlington, VA
ReplyDeleteOh, I feel blessed that you're expecting a new post every day. You're on the list to win the calendar. Thanks for being such a regular reader.
DeleteMagali

Thanks for sharing. Betty @ My Cozy Corner
Little White House is on my blog roll which I have set up by recent postings so I know immediately when you have a new post.
ReplyDeleteI love your virtual tours of France although I would prefer to visit it person.
Bises.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Thanks a lot for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI've loved it
Hugs
Marina

You have done a great job of posting about your area and your adorable cottage over the past year! It has been a lot of fun following you Magali! I have such fond memories of the time I was in Brittany years and years ago but we are hoping to go back next year so you have certainly spurred on the possibilities for me already. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of France. I will probably never get there so this is a real treat.
ReplyDeleteI lived in France for three years as a child and your blog is like going home. I found your blog by chance but visit every day now. Love the photos and it doesn't matter if they're dark!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm glad the blog reminds you of good memories. Where are you living now?
DeleteLove the wonderful tours and your beautiful pictures!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you did the recap, because I missed the first ones and I love your tours. Can't remember now how I found your blog, but I'm so glad I did, and I follow along in Feedly.
ReplyDeleteI remember I found your blog when you were showing pictures of last year's doll house, but I can't remember how I found it either! I'm glad I did, though.
DeleteDear Magali, thank you so much for visiting my blog and becoming a follower. More importantly, for taking the time to leave a comment of introduction. I'm so glad you did, as now I've found your wonderful blog. Oh, I must confess I'm envious of your cottage and where you're located. So happy for you, and can't wait to see what you do next. I read your "Full Kitchen" post. Now I'm really excited to see what you do with your kitchen. I'm sure it will be charming. If you post an update this month, I would love to have you link up with my Every Room In The House Party - The Kitchen. I'm following you via Google Connect and also on Bloglovin'. I want to make sure I don't miss a single post. If I won the calendar, I would be oh so happy. But no matter, I am happy just to have met you. Your new friend, Nancy @ A Joyful Cottage.
ReplyDeleteDon't be envious! My cottage is a very small fisherman's cottage that needs a lot of renovation! I'll be working all year on the kitchen, but if I have an update, I promise I'll link it! You're on the list for the calendar!
DeleteI receive your blog by email. Your blog is most intriguing with news of of your cottage updates, news of your cats and garden, and of course, your travel log to the historic and beautiful sites nearby your cottage. Needless to say, I would love to be able to peruse these places in person, but realize that there is little chance of that. Most of all, I delight in seeing/hearing about your updates to your lovely little cottage. Thank you, Magali.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for that comment. There'll be more travelling this year. Updates on the cottage renovations will be shared as well, though I must confess I avoid renovation of any kind during the colder month of January and February because you never know how long renovation can take!
DeleteHave a fabulous year!
What a nice recap of your year! Your photos are beautiful and you went to places in France that I have not yet been to. Good inspiration for the next trip...
ReplyDeleteOoh, I would love a Brittany calendar! Not only because you live there and I know what a beautiful area it is, but because my friends in England have a house there in Brittany, too (as you know) - and I've never been there! How do I keep track of your blog? You're on my blog roll. :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely gift. I am a follower and really enjoy your posts Your tours have truly been a slice of heaven. Some day I'm going to visit France!!
ReplyDeleteI have a few more slices of heaven planned for 2014. Thank you so much for being a follower.
DeleteMagali, you live in such a gorgeous place. Your cottage is a little bit of heaven for me! I also enjoy seeing what you are doing to make it your cozy space. I follow and just hop over now and then. Now I am following by e-mail. Hope to get to France one day!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing it with us at "Oh, the PLACES I've been!"

Magali, I loved all the tours, and the fainting one was very memorable. Though my body can't move if I have to be outside and it is below 50, so I empathize from the opposite end of the spectrum.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. XOXO
Catching up with what I've missed, Magali. These images are so dreamy. You are so lucky, my friend.
ReplyDeletePlease don't count me in the giveaway. I am much too far. I'm actually wondering what cloud your tags might be flying on to you now. :) I sent them a couple of days before Christmas. Let me know when you get them.
Off to see a few more of your lovely pics.
xoxo's
Hello Magali, I receive your updates via email. Yours is my favourite French blog, as I am hoping to move to France from the Uk very soon and I particularly love that you write each sentence in English and French as this really helps me in my pursuit to learn the language. Regards, Julie x
ReplyDeleteJulie,
DeleteI'm glad you enjoy reading the blog. If you ever need any help with something when moving, please feel free to email me!
Magali
What a wonderful post--I love all the pictures and your comments! I uses a regular plain calendar on my bulletin board to stay on top of things, but I am also a huge list-maker. I have little bits of paper where I keep lists of work and projects that I want to get done, and it makes me very happy to cross something off the list as done! I have finally gotten a little notebook to keep all my little papers gathered together in one place. It doesn't work for me to try to do this on a computer--I much prefer writing by hand.
ReplyDeleteWell, I need to go and read some of the posts I missed. I have a lovely old drawing of Mont Saint-Michel on my wall and I'm wondering why you fainted !
ReplyDeleteI check out the changing pictures on my blogroll, but I also follow you by e-mail.
Magali, I always look forward to each new post and love the changes you have made to your cottage. The countryside and pictures you have taken are wonderful; even the ones you think are poor quality. Thank you for a beautiful blog.
ReplyDeleteSandra

Sherry
And thank you for featuring my post! I feel so honoured!
DeleteI have been totally smitten with all-things-French. I just discovered you so I want to poke around if you don't mind. I am a food blogger, but love to find my way around other countries. I have found so much inspiration.
ReplyDeletewhat wonderful travels! I always love to see your photos....but have never given them as much weight as I have now. we have just booked our travel for the spring, and we will be spending a week in paris, and then a week traveling Normandy/Brittany/mt st Michel. give me some specifics of what I need to know, please! I can't wait to see your gorgeous seaside!
