Santa Claus Is Coming To Brittany

A Little White House Christmas - 2 -

You may have noticed this button on my sidebar for a while.

Vicky from Life on Willie Mae Lane had the great idea to organise a Christmas Ornament Exchange and was kind enough to take care of all the boring stuff of collecting names, sending us addresses and such, while we only had to do the fun stuff: sending an ornament and receiving one!

I was coming back from my Saturday morning shopping nightmare when I found a parcel in my mailbox. Suddenly putting the groceries away wasn't so important. I left my very French basket on my new kitchen chair. What? I haven't shown it to you yet? That is so bad of me! Well, don't count on it for a few more weeks, it needs work!

I was like a child when opening my parcel, it was as if Santa Claus had been coming early to Brittany: I loved everything. I could see that Donna, from Distressed Donna Down Home, who sent me my parcel, really tried to make me happy and it worked!

Donna, du blog Distressed Donna Down Home, qui m'a envoyé mon paquet, avait vraiment cherché à me faire plaisir.

Each ornament was handmade and wrapped beautifully. Inside the little gift box was a gorgeous vintage golden ornament that apparently I forgot to take a picture of.

The tags are going to look wonderful on my Christmas presents. The blue ornament was obviously a lot of work... but so worth it! And it's also beautiful on the sides and the back!

And the adorable "Noël" basket is in one of my favourite seafoam colour!

It set my mood for Christmas decorating. Unfortunately, between crazy school work (promise, I'll write a post on why it's keeping me so busy some day) and a few problems at the cottage, this is how far I've come:

What do you mean you can't see anything? I've done a lot of work: I got rid of all the autumn decor, and as you can guess from the picture, everything was done at night, so I'm actually happy it's done! I hope to put some pretties on it during the weekend.

I'll let you hum Santa Claus is coming to Brittany Town, while I go to sleep, after what was quite a long week.

See you soon, hopefully for some more Little White House Christmas posts!

A bientôt,
