A little Easter Branch
La semaine à venir s'annonce difficile côté boulot - travailler avec des humains, c'est parfois compliqué émotionnellement. Alors, j'ai rapidement fait une petite déco dans la véranda pour avoir quelque chose de gai qui m'accueille à mon retour!
Here's a little Spring decorating I did in the front porch this weekend.
I wish I could say it was a pure DIY work. I had planned to decorate eggs myself... But knowing how tired I am lately I also bought a bunch of decorated eggs. That's the ones I used. It's not that decorating eggs is very complicated, it's just that come the weekend, there's basic housework to do and spring being finally here, there's work to do in the garden as well.
So I shamefully confess, my work was limited to putting the eggs on the branch!
I apologize for the un-blog worthy pictures: the sky is grey and the patio is in it's pre-spring mess state... But I have a very busy week ahead of me, so I don't think I'll have time for better pictures.
Thanks for stopping by and see you soon for more garden news!
Merci de votre visite et à bientôt,
I like the simplicity of the arrangement and that the branches have not blossomed. Around here, I love to see gray sky then it is less hot or possible rain, but if I saw clouds more than blue skies, I would be tired.
ReplyDeleteI also like how you grouped your blogs by regions. So cute!
Happy Easter, Magali!
Thank you so much. Brittany is usually known for changing weather: even if the day is mostly cloudy, there's always at least a ray of sunshine at some point. But today is the third day of only grey skies and it's starting to be depressing!
DeleteI still need to work on the blog lists... But I'm running out of time!
a really cute idea! love it :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute, easy enough i think to do with my nephew... It is still great to see how much spring there is in your garden! Thanks for the link, we could also be labeled scandinavians =)
ReplyDeleteWould you like me to change your "label" to "Scandinavians"? I think it would be a great idea... I chose "Northern" because I thought maybe there would be other blogs from other places in Northern Europe.... But it was not easy to decide on categories. I just wanted to show how people were from all over the world (one of my favourite thing about blogging).
DeleteI love how such a simple decoration can look so pretty. The grey sky looks nice, in fact your photos are lovely, they look comfortable and homely. Ann (ps: I am coping much better this week with Milly's passing, thank you for asking).
ReplyDeleteI really love your simple decoration. I am not a fan of a lot of bunnies, so this is perfect.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Laura
Magali - your egg decorations are so pretty! I love the way that the branches direct you eye toward the outside. As far as the overcast sky goes, I think that is all over the world right now or at least North America!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cheery littlee branch - a great idea for a simple decoration.
ReplyDeleteI love your sweet little egg branch. This reminds me that I must dig out my small box of Easter decorations and put a few things out. I look forward to see what you will do in your little garden!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet decoration, I love its simple charm!
ReplyDeleteI like the title of your post, Magali! And no need to apologize--go out and enjoy the garden. It's warmed up and dried out a bit here, too, so I'm spending time out in our garden mostly cleaning up, but lots of pruning. Pruned a bunch of the raspberries yesterday and a big-12 feet tall--rose bush. Hyacinths are blooming well now, and the narcissus are starting. No tulips yet, but it's still pretty early for them. I had to restart my sweet pepper seeds yesterday--they are tough to get to germinate, but I am ever hopeful! Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteI like the simplicity of the branch and that it's not a wreath. Not that there is anything wrong with a wreath, I love them. But this seems very "springy".
ReplyDeleteMagali - it is a lovely display, and everyone's patio looks shoddy this time of year. Everytime I let the dogs out into the yard I try to pull the weeds already showing up between the pavers. So much to do once the good weather arrives, we should enjoy the time ww have we have, as we can. Renos are stressful, I hope you enjoy your Easter and have fun! Patty/BC
ReplyDeleteSo simple lovely decoration, thanks for stopping by:) Hugs, Biljana
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to wish you good luck concerning your test. I have not been tested but I apparently have a gluten intolerance because there is such a change in my health and energy level when I eat gluten free. I give gluten free recipes on my blog to help others like me understand that gluten free food can taste just as good as regular food. I am glad you are interested in having more recipes. I don't have a particular schedule for posting GF recipes so check back. No need to apologize for your photos because most of us are having many gray days. We have had snow flurries for two days with a tiny amount of accumulation. Hurry up spring!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I suscribed to your blog, so I won't miss any interesting recipes!
DeleteI love the simplicity of this. So sweet!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Looks great Magali! They look like nicely decorated eggs!
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that it IS so simple. This is a good example of less is more. I like the view out the window too.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I wanted things to be simple and "airy".
DeleteSweet and simple.....and there's nothing wrong with using something pre-made! The eggs are pretty and I bet they make you smile....I know they made me smile! Enjoy!

Qu'ils sont mignons tes oeufs ! Et tu as raison, il faut savoir mettre un peu de gaieté dans ce monde pas toujours rose !

SO pretty Magali - and I love your little patio area that we can see - would love to sit there with a glass of wine!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Suzan
I think that is very sweet and charming and truly doesn't matter whether you made it from scratch or not, you put it together!
ReplyDeleteHi Magali,
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to have something decorative in the house to remind one about the holiday and celebration whether it's hand-made or not.
I think the weather has a lot to do with grey pics cos without the blue sky as a backdrop, it will come out grey.
I hope you are getting enough rest and get a new beginning in things you want to start over.
Good health to you.
Happy Easter!
Hi Magali
ReplyDeletethey are really cute :)

Hello Magali - Love your creative branch! Dear Heart, this is what we all do - need to do at times - what is simple, frugal and pleasing to us. We've had lots of grey days here too - today it happens. Just enjoying the process and enjoying our family, our life and our home is what counts - I appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
ReplyDeleteKathy
